Two arrested for thefts in Calangute

MAPUSA

A man from Bijapur-Karnataka and another man from Hyderabad were nabbed on charges of theft in separate incidents at Calangute.

In one case, Santosh Kattimani (36) of Bijapur was nabbed by Calangute Police on charges of stealing a mobile phone and cash of Rs 9,400 from the dickey of two scooters parked at Calangute market area.

Police said he was previously involved in a theft case at Margao. Two separate offences have been registered in the matter.

In the second case, Mohamad Irfan (22) of Hyderabad was nabbed in another theft case on charges of stealing a mobile phone worth Rs 12,000 at Calangute market. Further investigation is in progress.
