PANAJI
The Panaji police have seized two dubious cars with identical registration numbers plates, after being notified by the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) about suspicious cars parked in separate places in the city. The number plates, police said, are counterfeit.
"These abandoned vehicles MP-04-CW-9008 were spotted by Anti Terrorist Squad officers, who informed the Panaji police. Both the cars are seized for investigation. It looks that the registration is carried out in Madhya Pradesh and the Chassis number from one vehicle has been erased," an official said.
The Panaji police will seek assistance from their counterparts in other states for ownership details.
