Two drivers hurt in accident
PERNEM: Two persons including a bus driver were seriously injured in a road accident involving a bus and a truck at Torsem near Patradevi on Saturday evening.
According to Pernem Police, the head-on collision between the bus (MH-19-Y-9200) and the truck (MS-G4-EY-3477) took place at a sharp curve along the national highway at about 8.15 pm.
The police further said that the bus driver Nayan Patil (60) of Jalgao-Maharashtra and Gopal Shadapure from Pimpalgao-Buldhana in Maharashtra were seriously injured and admitted in North Goa District Hospital at Mapusa.
The police added that the bus was proceeding towards Patradevi, while the truck was travelling from Pernem. Pernem Police is investigating the case.
