Two persons were injured when a Maharashtra state transport bus collided with a truck near the petrol pump at Malpe-Pernem on Wednesday morning.
According to Pernem police, the incident took place when the bus (MH-14-BT- 3418) which was proceeding from Panaji to Kolhapur in the morning struck the truck (MH-07-C-6354) from the rear.
Two passengers, Vandana Sawant (60) of Sawantwadi and Dattaram Arlekar (45), of Tuem suffered minor injuries and were treated at the Tuem Primary Health Centre before being discharged from the hospital. Pernem Police Hawaldar Rajesh Yesi conducted the panchnama of the accident and an offence has been registered against the ST bus driver.
