Unauthorised vehicles given on rent detained in Anjuna
Anjuna Police team along with the prized possession of four vehicles that were detained during the drive against unauthorised vehicles given on rent.

Continuing with its drive against unauthorised vehicles being given on rentals, especially to tourists, Anjuna Police on Friday detained one four-wheeler and three two-wheelers.
A Maruti Swift car and three scooters were attached and stationed at the police station.
“A special drive was conducted against unauthorised vehicles being given for rent to tourists,” said Jivba Dalvi, SDPO Mapusa.
He said a detailed report under section 192 of the Motor Vehicle Act will be submitted before the court for issuing of challan and necessary action.
“A separate letter is also being sent to the regional RTO office for cancellation of registration of the seized vehicles,” he said.
The entire inspection drive was carried out by Anjuna PI Prashal Dessai under supervision of SP North Nidhin Valsan (IPS) and SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi.

MAPUSAIn a fire incident caused due to a gas cylinder blast, two stalls were reduced to ashes at Vagator in Anjuna in the wee hours of Friday, officials at the Mapusa fire station informed.The total loss is estimated at around Rs 2.50 lakh.According to reports, a fast-food stall owned by Santosh Ambekar caught fire which resulted in the explosion of a gas cylinder.
