VASCO
An unidentified man was found dead on the railway tracks near Tanya Hotel in Vasco. The body was severely mutilated, with the head lying between the tracks and the rest of the body beside the railway line.
According to a memo from the Deputy Station Superintendent, the discovery was first reported by Loco Pilot Ram Vijay Kumar. Authorities believe the man, estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old, may have died by suicide by stepping in front of a moving train.
After police verification and legal procedures, the body has been kept at SGDH Margao for identification and medico-legal formalities. Vasco Railway Police have registered the case as an unnatural death under Section 194 BNS. The investigation is being led by PI Amarnath Passi under the supervision of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
Authorities have urged anyone who can help identify the deceased to come forward.
