A domestic tourist riding triple seat died while one of his pillion riders was seriously injured and the other escaped with simple injuries in a road mishap at Arpora-Baga on Friday evening.
The deceased, Feroze Ali (26), who suffered grievous injuries, died on the way to the hospital while the pillion rider, Mohit Kumar (25), was seriously hurt and has been shifted to GMC hospital.
According to Anjuna Police, the incident took place near Baga at around 5 pm, when the deceased riding a scooter along with two others as pillion, all from Uttar Pradesh, were moving from Arpora towards Baga.
When they reached near the Royal Beach Resort at Baga, the scooter skidded and hit an oncoming passenger rickshaw, police said.
With the impact, the rider, Feroze Ali, sustained grievous injuries and died on the way to the hospital, while pillion rider, Mohit Kumar, was shifted to GMC hospital for treatment. The other pillion rider, Raju Khan (22), sustained minor injuries.
Anjuna Police registered an accidental case and PSI Amir Taral is investigating the case.
