Valpoi police arrested a youth on Uttar Pradesh on charges of possessing a fake Aadhaar card at a scrapyard in Nanus-Valpoi.
According to police reports, Mohammad Irshad had arrived in the State about three weeks ago to sell scrap parts and was employed at a scrapyard.
During a tenant verification campaign currently underway in Valpoi, police went to the scrapyard and became suspicious with a Aadhaar card in Irshad’s possession.
When questioned, he was reluctant to give information to the police. Valpoi police arrested him in this connection and he was produced before a Valpoi court on Thursday evening, where he was remanded to three days in police custody.
