Valmiki Naik appointed AAP Goa President amid leadership reshuffle

PANAJI:

The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Political Affairs Committee (PAC) today announced a new set of office bearers for Goa, appointing Valmiki Naik as the party’s State President in a major organisational reshuffle.

Along with Naik’s appointment, the PAC named Gerson Gomes as the State Working President, Prashant Naik as the State Organisation Secretary, and Sandesh Teleikar Dessai as the State Senior Vice President.

The leadership changes come in the wake of the resignation of four senior leaders from the party, including the former AAP Goa president Amit Patkar, who was removed from the position last month, following ZP debacle and the working president Shrikrishna Parab, triggering a reset within the State unit.

Party sources said the new appointments are aimed at strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level and preparing the party for upcoming political challenges in Goa. The PAC expressed confidence that the new team would provide cohesive leadership and reinvigorate the party cadre across the State.
