Travelling on the main Valpoi-Honda road has become a nightmare for motorists and commuters, with several potholes along the road.
The Valpoi-Honda road, which is a major route for people travelling between Honda and Panaji, has deteriorated since the last six months. While the PWD has undertaken frequent road repair works, the road continues to deteriorate and develop potholes.
According to sources, a proposal to hotmix the stretch of road has been submitted by the Valpoi PWD office to senior officials
“The tender to hotmix this road has been approved but the work order has not been received as yet,” said the source.
Since the process is underway to get the road hotmixed, the PWD has not taken up repairs of the road.
Incidentally, PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral had interacted with sarpanchas, panchas and councillors in Sattari a few months ago and the issue of bad roads had been raised.
Cabral had assured the elected representatives that he would not stop any roadwork in Sattari taluka.
