Newly-elected Velim MLA Cruz Silva on Sunday assured to closely work with the Ambelim village panchayat to usher in the development of the village.
Cruz was honoured by the Ambelim Sarpanch Fritzie Fernandes at the Ambelim gram sabha meeting on Sunday on his election as the new Velim MLA.
The newly-elected MLA offered his full cooperation to the Ambelim panchayat, promising to take up their development files with the concerned departments.
Cruz has been a two-time Sarpanch of Ambelim village panchayat and has been a regular member of the gram sabha meeting in the village.
Meanwhile, the gram sabha gave its approval for the budget estimates for the financial year 2022-23, with members suggesting changes in one or two proposals.
