The Loutolim gram sabha on Sunday has resolved to file a petition in the Court over the Deputy Director’s decision to grant licence for the Ready Mix Concrete Plant which has come in the village.
At the gram sabha meeting held on Sunday which was chaired by Tony Vaz, gram sabha member Franky Monteiro raised the issue of the Ready Mix Concrete Plant, demanding to know how can the panchayat deputy director grant the licence when the plant had come up allegedly in violation of construction rules.
Franky told the media after the meeting that the gram sabha has resolved to place the matter before the Village Development Committee and after deliberations move the court seeking relief.
The meeting also discussed the budget estimates proposal for the financial year 2022-23. A couple of members expressed their reservations over the proposal and mulled changes.
