Speaking to The Goan, Verna Police Inspector Uday Parab said that there were many proposals from the locals representatives and senior citizens over the difficulties faced by them in their day-to-day affairs.
“I was told that there was need to increase police patrolling at various vulnerable areas, to post police personnel at the schools especially when the students leave the schools for home, ensure that the migrants are enrolled at the police outpost and various other issues,” said PI Parab, adding that the police will take into consideration the various suggestion seriously.
Verna police jurisdiction covers two industrial estates “ major part of Verna Industrial Estate and Sancoale Industrial Estate, besides Goa’s biggest slum “ Zuari Nagar, housing colonies including that of Goa Housing Board, educational institutions and the coast line.
Sarpanchas, panchas, senior citizens from Sancoale, Cortalim, Nagoa, Verna, Velsao, Cansaulim, part of Majorda panchayat attended.
