Verna police seize e-cigarettes worth Rs 40,000 at Zuarinagar

Verna police seized 15 banned electronic cigarettes valued at around Rs 40,000 from an individual at Zari, Zuarinagar, on Wednesday at around 8.05 pm.

Police said the accused, Shoheb Mohamad Nadaf, of Pune was found in possession of the electronic cigarettes, which are prohibited under the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act, 2019.

Acting on a complaint, Verna police registered an offence under Section 7 of the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act, 2019, and seized the prohibited items.

Further investigation is being carried out by Head Constable Sandeep Naik of Verna police station under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
