Visitors thronged the Holy Spirit Church, Margao on Thursday to witness the Vernal Equinox spectacle wherein the rays of the setting sun illuminate the altars inside the Church.
Unlike last year, when all the three altars in the Church were illuminated by the sun rays through the Church’s oculus windows, the overcast weather conditions saw the sun rays illuminate the main altar.
The Vernal Equinox marks the beginning of the Spring. Every year, people from across the State visit the Holy Spirit Church to witness the grand spectacle when the sun rays illuminate the three altars inside the Church.
