Manori was speaking to reporters in Vasco, on the sidelines of his scheduled address to a meeting on proposed construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya. “Like elsewhere in the country, in Goa too we are awakening the people against cow slaughtering and beef eating. You will have to wait for another one or two years and our Bajarang Dal and Durga Vahini workers will stop cow slaughtering in Goa,” Manori stated.
“VHP will not require help of any government to stop cow slaughter, as its wings, Bajarang Dal and Durga Vahini, are capable enough to do it. We are strongly professing ‘dharma raksha’ which also includes ‘Go Raksha’,” said Manori.
“VHP is stopping cow slaughtering through Bajarang Dal and Durga Vahini, we are not demanding anything with the government,” Manori added.
“We will do what Hindu society wants. We will not allow cow slaughtering or allow anyone to eat beef in Goa,” he said.
