Vibrant Goa leads Goan business team on four-nation tour to South-East Asia

A number of Goan businessmen, led by Vibrant Goa, identified business opportunities on a four-nation tour to South-East Asia. The four countries, which the delegation visited were: Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore.   

 Overall sixty five business to business (B2B) meetings and 8 business to government (B2G) meetings took place between Goan business delegation and their counterparts in the South-East Asian countries.   

 The VG Team interacted with forty companies in business meetings in Kula Lumpur. The meetings were jointly organized by the Indian high commission jointly with Kuala Lumpur Malay Chamber of Commerce and Kuala Lumpur Selangor India Chamber of Commerce and Industry.   

 Likewise in Hanoi too, the VG Team tasted success, as they interacted with 150 members of BNI Hanoi, which was followed by meetings with InCham “ Indian Chamber of Commerce in Hanoi and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce in Hanoi.   

 In Bangkok as well, The VG Team met seventy Thai Companies in business meetings organized by the Indian Embassy with India Thai Chamber of Commerce and Thailand India Business Council.   

 In order to promote tourism, Gavin Dias, general manager, Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) made a presentation on Goan Tourism to 100 tour operators and airline companies the same evening.   

 These visits were a part of the preparations for the Vibrant Goa-Global Expo and Summit 2019 (VG-GES 2019), which will happen at the Shyama Prasad Mukherji stadium in Panaji between October 17-19 this year.   

 Rasik Naik, chairman, organizing committee, Vibrant Goa, said, “I was amazed to see the dedication to succeed among our Goan entrepreneurs. They worked very hard in all multiple B2B and B2G meetings that we had organised on the tour.”   

 Jayesh Raikar, director, Goldy Group of Companies, said, “I was able to identify hidden business opportunities. One-to-one meetings scheduled with Far-East entrepreneurs have opened up multiple avenues for trade and expansion.”
