The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday attacked the government for its failure on the Covid front saying people were being made to run from pillar to post for proof of death certificates to avail compensation.
Addressing the media a host of AAP leaders said the government was hiding behind lies and falsehoods.
"BJP promised Rs 5000 to the Covid affected families but can they show me who has got this”, asked AAP Youth Wing National Vice President Cecille Rodrigues.
She said families who have lost loved ones are being made to run around in circles for proof of death certificates. “All dues are pending on Laadli Laxmi and Grihadhar. How are women to run their households”, she said.
AAP National Executive Member and Goa Vice President Captain Venzy Viegas said, "the BJP loves to go to every press conference and scream from the rooftops that they give the best schemes. But these schemes exist only on paper".
"In Delhi every scheme that has been announced by the Kejriwal government AAP has ensured their citizens get it. Whether it is old age pension, Teerth Yatra Scheme or schemes for youth and healthcare no one has to approach their MLAs. This is what is called effective planning of schemes and effective implementation" Captain Viegas said.
The government claims that 80% jobs are reserved for Goans, but the fact is that today Goan youth is finding it difficult to get jobs.
Adv Surel Tilve AAP Goa Vice President also slammed the government saying, "why could the BJP not come up with a scheme like Rozgar Bazaar where it could create 10 lakh jobs”.
They have suddenly woken up on the water, electricity and jobs issue which no Goans had in the last four years, he said. “All they can do is jumlas and every Goenkar knows this", he added.
AAP Goa Convenor Rahul Mhambre questioned the BJP on the job front. The BJP asks how can AAP create a budget for its schemes, the answer is that AAP is not corrupt and has shown how it turned a deficit in Delhi to a State in profit.
AAP has proven itself by its transparent Rozgar portal that we can provide jobs and get rid of middlemen, he said.
The Fact of the matter is that Kejriwal spends the public money on the public. He spends money on free water and free power. The Delhi CM has built flyovers under budget and then spent the excess money on citizens. That is how Kejriwal is able to make promises and fulfill them, Mhambre said.
AAP came back to power in Delhi with 62 out of 70 seats with 55% vote share. This is enough endorsement and AAP does not need the endorsement of any party.
The only solution to unemployment is an honest government which only AAP can provide in Goa, Mhambre said.
