Vijai dares CM to prove his involvement in Assagao demolition case

MARGAO
Goa Forward Party Chief Vijai Sardesai on Friday accused the ruling government of implicating him in the Assagao house demolition case. Sardesai challenged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to investigate the alleged connection between a certain "Sharma" involved in the Curtorim property purchase back in 2012 and another "Sharma" linked to the recent Assagao incident.

Addressing the media, Sardesai said the Chief Minister should conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter and present a detailed report in the upcoming Assembly session. He insisted that the investigation should uncover any potential links between the two individuals named Sharma, emphasizing the need for transparency.

Furthermore, Sardesai called for the family members who visited him to undergo a narco-analysis test. He claimed they approached him to share their version of events surrounding the Assagao case and suggested the test would reveal the truth about their intentions.

Briefing the media, Sardesai said there was a post on social media linking the Sharma wanted in the Assagao case and the Sharma who had purchased the Curtorim from him. “After I filed a complaint with the cyber crime cell, the post was withdrawn but I want the Chief Minister to conduct a detailed probe. I want the Crime Branch to summon the Sharma who had purchased the property from me for investigations. I am also ready to help in the investigations,” he said.
