Vijai to send CS letter for action in cash for job scam

Goa Forward party said that party Chief Vijai Sardesai will send a  formal letter to the Chief Secretary , demanding immediate action in the cash for job scam.

Party general secretary Durgadas Kamat has said the party will take the issue to the courts if no concrete steps are taken by the government. 

He said the party will take legal action against the corrupt officials in what he termed as the South Goa LDC recruitment scandal.

“We remain hopeful that the Chief Minister will fulfill his promise and initiate a thorough investigation. 

"As with other scams, such as the Labour Gate scam and the Kala Academy Scam, we will relentlessly pursue this case until justice is served for the 13,000 youth who sincerely appeared for the LDC interview”, Kamat said.

Kamat further said that the party want to send a strong warning to those involved in this scandal. 

“In Haryana, during 1999-2000, a junior teacher recruitment scam led to the imprisonment of Minister Chautala and the exam controller for 10 years. 

"Similarly, a recruitment scam took place in Chhattisgarh, resulting in severe legal consequences. We are prepared to take legal action against those involved in this LDC recruitment scam in Goa. We have heard that the two officials”, he added.
