Ministers in the Pramod Sawant government and senior BJP leaders virtually converted the government organized Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa rally at the Margao KTC bus stand to an election rally, as they took the platform to make a fervent plea to the thousands of participants to give both the Lok Sabha seats to the BJP in the ensuing polls to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Be it Alexio Sequeira or Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho or Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, BJP State President Sadanand Tanavade, Union Minister Shripad Naik, and not to mention Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, they all batted from the government organized platform for a third term for Narendra Modi as the country’s Prime Minister.
Congress-turned-BJP Margao MLA Digambar Kamat set the ball rolling when he said that India and Goa has benefited in a big way during the 10-year-old rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “We have to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister to realize the vision to make India a super power”, he added.
Environment Minister Alexio Sequeira, who was the second speaker to address the mammoth rally, took the platform to tell the people that he had decided to support the BJP to support Prime Minister’s mission to make India a leading country in the multi polar world. “No nation can take India for granted anymore because of Prime Minister Modi’s strong leadership. The PM’s schemes have helped the poor and downtrodden section of the society in the last 10 years”, he added.
In his speech, Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho thundered from the dais that the BJP would win both the Lok Sabha seats from Goa and that the BJP would cross 400 seat mark in the coming polls. “There’s no doubt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will return back as Prime Minister by wining 400 seats. We have to strengthen the hands of the Prime Minister. We have to give both the Lok Sabha seats to further strengthen the hands of the Prime Minister”, he added.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane lauded the Prime Minister for creating the enthusiasm to work for the people. “What is happening in Goa on development is because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The PM has given a big push and boost for the infrastructure development of the state”, Rane said, while saying that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has taking Goa forward on the path of development.
While outlining the achievements of the Mod government, Union Minister Shripad Naik, the lone Minster from Goa in the Modi government, made a fervent plea to the people to re-elect the Modi government to power.
State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Tanavade underscored the need to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India the third largest economy in the next five years. He also outlined the infrastructural projects executed in the state with the support from the centre.
