Valpoi bigwig and former Congress MLA is set to be inducted into the Cabinet after joining the BJP on April 6, prior to BJP National President Amit Shah’s visit to Goa on April 9. BJP core committee on Monday resolved to induct Valpoi strongman Vishwajit Rane into the BJP-fold.

PANAJI:Additionally, the BJP’s legislature wing resolved to welcome him into the BJP. Speaking to media after the meeting, Calangute MLA and Deputy Speaker Michael Lobo stated, “The Party has decided to take Vishwajit Rane. It is cleared by BJP’s legislature wing. And he will also be inducted into the Cabinet.” Rane on March 16 had resigned as an MLA as well as quit Cong criticising the leadership over failure to form the govt despite being the single largest party.
