MARGAO
Vithaldas Yeshwant Pai Kakode passed away on Wednesday at Margao after brief illness. He was 89. He was cremated on the same day.
Husband of Late Vilasini alias Ujwala, he is survived by sons/ daughter-in-laws Vishal/Smita, Gautam/Yogita, Yeshwant alias Amar/Aparna and Daughter/son-in-law Laxmi alias Naval and Shivadatta Shetye. He was grandfather of Sonal Prabhav Naik, Vaishnavi, Nehal, Saineel, Manguirsh, Sankalp, Abhir and Avani.
Born in Cuncolim, he settled in Margao in 1968. He was business partner of M/s Keshav Sinai Kunde and Company. He was also past president of Shree Mahalasa Saunsthan, Mardol. He was past member of Rotary Club of Margao and also one of the founder members of Margao Cricket Club.
Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai, GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Cuncolim MLA Clafasio Dias, Mathagramstha Hindu Sabha President Bhai Naik and others paid tributes at the mortal remains of the departed soul.
