Thousands, if not lakhs, of litres of water went waste at the Aquem Power house junction here on Friday morning after a water pipe burst during work.
A huge water fountain greeted people at the Power house junction on Friday morning for some time, before the PWD plugged the leakage.
If PWD officials are to be believed, the workers were working on interconnecting a pipeline when the valve broke open. Though the workers on the job intimated the incident to the supervisor, it took considerable time to plug the water leakage, in the bargain water running into lakhs of litres going waste.
