A water pipeline burst at Altinho-Mapusa, disrupting water supply in the area on Monday.
According to details, the incident took place at around 5 pm, when the pipeline burst on the side of the one-way road from the Court Junction to Peddem.
This water pipeline is quite old and supplies water to Altinho and the surrounding areas. Officials from the water supply office at Mapusa disconnected the water supply in the area, but by then thousands of litres of water had been wasted. Work to repair the pipeline will take place on Tuesday morning.
