'We Care' film fest held by DRAG

With an aim to sensitise on the issues pertaining to disabled children, the Disability Rights Association of Goa (DRAG) and Brotherhood, New Delhi, held a film fest titled 'We Care' at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on February 6.

Inaugurating the film fest, noted film maker Rajendra Talak, who was the chief guest, called on the students in attendance to give their best to others. “Give the best to others and you will always get the best in life,” he remarked.

Speaking on this occasion, Anuradha Joshi, emphasised on the need to create awareness about the disabled students.

The founder and director of the film fest, Satish Kapur, informed that the fest was started in the year 2003 and 162 such film fests have been organised in the country and abroad since then. “This is the 163rd venue,” he stated.

Kapur claimed to have covered two lakh students so far through such fests.

The festival will be held at six different venues all over Goa in the remaining days, informed Kapur.

DRAG secretary Vishant Narvekar proposed the vote of thanks.
