MUMBAI: Virat Kohli produced yet another masterclass as he smashed an unbeaten 47-ball 89 but to no avail as Lendl Simmons stole the show in his first match to help West Indies set up final date with England.
After losing Chris Gayle early in the match, Simmons along with Johnson Charles and Andre Russell made a mockery of 193-run target in front of a packed-Wankhede Stadium crowd with who's who of Indian cricket in attendance at the second semifinal of the ICC World Twenty20 on Thursday.
India's cause was also undone, in parts, by two no-call wickets, with man-of-the-match Simmons being the beneficiary of those missed chances.
Thus, both the Caribbean teams -- women's and men's -- have entered the finals making a memorable year for themselves. Last month their Under-19 team beat the Indian colts to win the junior world cup.
