Asserting that he will not stake claim for the Congress ticket for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in South Goa, Curtorim MLA Reginaldo Lourenco on Wednesday said the Congress will regain the South Goa seat with the highest margin in Salcete as there are no more takers from BJP’s Mission Salcete in the taluka.
“You all very well know what will be the result in South Goa in the 2019 Lok Sabha poll. Mission Salcete has failed to make any impact in Salcete. This time, the Congress will poll the highest votes in Salcete and better all previous records,” Reginaldo said.
The three-time Curtorim MLA, who had contested the South Goa Lok Sabha seat as a Congress nominee with the support of then independent MLA Vijai Sardesai, said no amount of money power will save the BJP from a certain defeat in the coming election.
He, however, made it clear that he is neither in the race for the South Goa Congress ticket nor will stake claim for the ticket in the coming election.
