Woman killed in accident at Arlem
MARGAO: A 67-year-old woman was killed when the scooter she was driving was knocked down by a truck at Arlem.
According to Margao police, the accident occurred when the rider, one Surekha Parulekar (67) a resident of Gogol, was making a U-turn on her scooter at Arlem. Her scooter was knocked down by a truck driven by one Irfan, which was proceeding along the highway.
She suffered serious injuries and breathed her last on way to Hospicio Hospital, Margao.
Further investigations are in progress.
