Woman loses gold, cash on Goa Express near Vasco

A person stole a mangalsutra and cash worth around Rs 2.81 lakh from the bag of a woman near the Vasco 

Railway Station.

According to a complaint by Gulam Ahmed Raza Mulla of New Vaddem, Vasco, his mother was travelling with her family from Belagavi to Vasco Railway Station.

As the train approached Vasco around 7.20 am, she woke up and found her black shoulder bag missing. The bag reportedly contained a gold mangalsutra weighing 35 grams worth Rs 2.8 lakh, Rs 1,000 in cash, and a green ladies’ purse.

Vasco Railway Police have registered a case under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 

(BNS), 2023. 

The investigation is being conducted by PSI Krishna Talpi under the supervision of PI Amarnath Passi and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
