A married woman who jumped off the flyover at Warkhande-Ponda on Monday night at 10.30 pm succumbed to injuries.
The woman was admitted to the district hospital in a serious condition and died while undergoing treatment, said sources at the Ponda police station.
She was married to a person from Margao some years ago but was living in Chirpute with her young child for the past four months.
The reason why she jumped off the flyover on Monday night is yet to be ascertained.
The Ponda deputy collector’s office is investigating the matter.
