Women's Day at Ponda
PONDA: Around 1500 women are expected to attend the Women’s Day celebration organised by the Mahila Congress and Seva Dal of Ponda at Sun Grace garden in Bethora on April 24, at 10 am.
Addressing a news conference, organising committee member Jyoti Gaonkar, informed that the full-day event will include many programmes and competitions for ladies.
The event will be inaugurated by former chief minister Ravi Naik, while Mahila Congress president Sunita Verekar, CBWE educational officer Mohan Sen, writer Jyoti Kunalikar and social activist Swati Kerkar will be present as guests of honour.
Sherly Dias, Pratima Naik, Geeta Srisat and other organising committee members were also present at the news conference.
