In a scuffle between two workers near the Old Patto Bridge, one of them, Dinesh Karande, was critically injured after he was allegedly attacked by Amankumar Choubey, a native of Jharkhand.
Local residents intervened and alerted the police and ambulance services.
The injured man was rushed to hospital, while the accused was arrested by the police.
