World Health Day at Vasco
PANAJI: JCI Vasco observed the World Health Day with various programmes.
A beach cleanliness drive was conducted at Baina beach along with the slum children. The beach was cleaned of plastic, papers and other waste. The aim of the drive was to give the message that a clean surrounding is the key to good health.
Later, a movie on oral health care and personal cleanliness was screened at the slum near Baina beach. A talk was held by Udhav Pol on health and hygiene. The children were also informed on the importance of washing hands.
JCI Vasco also distributed tooth brushes to the slum children. Shainaz Shariff, president of JCI Vasco also addressed the children and told them about the importance of celebrating the World Health Day. Also present were Leroy Menezes, Rohan Bandekar, Kiran Kumar, Sujay Rao and Sarita Pathak
