“An incident happened in Goa while I am on an official visit out of the state. My official vehicle driven by my driver while taking it from Verna showroom to my residence after servicing was found overtaking on Mandovi bridge. As servants of public our beautiful Goa, it should be our priority to lead by example. On knowing of this incident I have personally spoken to concerned officials in Directorate of Transport and instructed them to act according to law as such incident in future should not happen,” he said in his online post.
Later he took to Twitter to post screenshots of the overtaking vehicle and challans for the fines that the driver had to pay. A total fine of Rs 600 had been paid to the Department of Transport.
