It was the “Clash of the Titans” at the All Goa State Level Mando festival held at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on January 29, 2016. Organised by the Marto Lavita Braz Educational and Charitable Trust, Tourism Airline Management Education in association with the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Goa and Ravindra Bhavan, the main aim of mando festivals such as these is to keep a dying tradition alive.
Earlier, Mandos were regularly performed in celebrations of weddings, etc. Today public performances are limited to festivals and other such events.
