Yoga instructor arrested for sexual assault

Pernem Police on Tuesday arrested a yoga instructor and masseur from Siolim on charges of sexually assaulting and molesting a 32-year-old USA national at Korgao-Pernem.
According to Pernem police, the accused, Pratik Agarwal, was operating a massage centre in a rented room at Korgao.
On February 2, the victim visited the accused for tantric massage at his parlour at Korgao. On the pretext of giving her a massage, the accused sexually assaulted her, the police said.
The complainant also stated that the accused was involved in a similar act with her Canadian friend.
Acting on the complaint by the victim on Tuesday, Pernem Police arrested the accused under Sections 376, 354A of IPC. The accused was produced before the court and was remanded to eight days in police custody. Pernem PI Rahul Parab is investigating the case.
