A 28-year-old man drowned after falling into the Tillari canal at Colvale on Monday evening.
The body of Pratish Jadhav was subsequently recovered at Teen Mad, Sadye.
The incident occurred when Jadhav slipped and fell into the Tillari canal located behind his house. He got swept away and his body eventually became lodged near the canal bridge at Teen Mad, Sadye.
The Mapusa Police, assisted by the Mapusa Fire and Emergency Services, retrieved the body. The body was later sent to the Goa Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Mapusa Police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
