Porvorim police arrested a youth on Monday on charges of possessing drugs at Haliwada-Britona.
According to Porvorim Police Inspector Rahul Parab, police received reliable information that Sahil Mirza (19) of Haliwada-Britona had been selling drugs.
A Porvorim police team raided his residence at Halliwada and found the accused in possession of a polythene bag containing 250 gms of ganja, valued at about Rs 25,000.
Mirza has been arrested in this connection and further investigation is in progress under the supervision of Porvorim SDPO Vishwesh Karpe and North Goa SP Harishchandra Madkaikar.
