Acknowledging the fact that less number of Goans get absorbed in Central government departments and agencies, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said a mechanism will be put in place to disseminate information about vacancies and also give training for the recruitment exams.
‘The Goan’ recently had published a special report on how fewer Goans were landing jobs in the Konkan Railway Corporation (KRC) giving details obtained by a youth from Pernem, Sandeep Haldankar under the Right to Information Act.
It was seen that many Goan youth face difficulty to clear the computer-based test conducted by KR. Only three candidates from Goa had cleared the recent test.
All government offices, corporations and central government offices will be compelled to deploy security guards from the human resource development corporation only, he added.
The CM, taking cognisance of the report said: “We will have some mechanism to overcome the problem.”
He said that once the central government agencies announce vacancies the information should come to the State government employment exchange.
“We will write to central government department of personnel and training with a request to provide such information. Once we get the information about the post we will take help of local experts and arrange for training for the candidates,” he added.
