‘Fatorda Forward is way of life & service, not PR campaign’

MARGAO
Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai on Sunday said his party’s motive of Fatorda Forward is a way of life and service and not a PR campaign like the Chief Minister’s ‘Swayampurna Goa’. Addressing a meeting of residents in Fatorda, Sardesai pointed out that “the BJP has resorted to a bunch of PR tricks in an attempt to fool the people of Fatorda, but Delhi ideas and PR tricks do not work in Fatorda.”

Saying that the “the people of Fatorda know and realise what true work and service means, he said that the Goa Forward Party’s record sheet is clear and speaks for itself in regard to the development of the constituency.

The Fatorda MLA highlighted that the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and the BJP are relying on petty tricks to try to turn the Municipal elections in their favour. “They (BJP) have cowardly chosen not to fight these elections on party lines, afraid that the overall sentiment towards their party is dying in Goa,” he said.

He further said that his potential candidates are all prepared to contest the election, and “rely on their merit rather than Delhi directions,” adding ‘our people live and breathe Fatorda, that is why this constituency is one of Goa’s finest in terms of standard of living and development’.

Commenting on political alliances, Sardesai said, “Team Goa is a realistic, and practical solution to defeating the BJP.”

“Under Team Goa, the people have their desired political representation, one that is united, and focused on saving Goan culture, heritage, tradition, environment, and economy,” he said.

He claimed that under Pramod Sawant, Goa is losing its identity, and is at risk of being sold and forgotten. Sardesai vowed that he would never allow Goa’s unique tolerant identity to perish and will protect it at all costs for future generations.
