Frequent transfers of Administrator of South Goa Comunidades seemed to have literally become a norm than an exception, hampering the administration. Incumbent Administrator, John Fernandes has been transferred and posted as Chief Officer of Cuncolim Municipal Council. He takes the place of CMC CO Violet Gomes, who is now appointed the Comunidades Administrator.
John had assumed additional charge of the South Goa Comunidades Administrator barely six months ago when he had succeeded then Administrator Vishal Kundaikar, before the government shunted him out of the post.
In the past too, there have been frequent transfers of the Administrator of South Goa Comunidades. Even the officials appointed on the post have been holding additional charge of office.
President of Aquem Comunidade, Savio Correia said the frequent transfers of the Administrators of the South Goa Comunidades have affected the administration, including disposal of pending cases.
“When the administrators are being transferred every few months, it is bound to have an impact on the disposal of cases. The government should appoint full time Administrator to head the office of South Goa Communidades,” he added.
