Addressing a press conference, Rane said that he didn’t consider onshore casinos as casinos as the only thing that was there was slot machines.
“They are not casinos. They only have slot machines,” Rane said when asked why the Congress party in his manifesto had targeted only off-shore casinos promising that they would be removed from the rivers of Mandovi and Zuari.
“When we had allowed onshore casinos they were only for slot machines,” Rane said.
When asked about the Congress decision to bring casinos in the State, Rane said “The way it is being implemented now is becoming a problem.”
