The administration outreach ‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’ launched by his government is not an 'election gimmick' but a genuine effort to reach out to the excluded sections of Goa's populace, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant reasserted on Monday.
"‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’ is not a political stunt but the government’s initiative to reach out to every citizen of Goa and resolve their issues. It is designed to deliver various Government schemes and services under one roof," Sawant said.
The chief minister also dwelt on another programme of his government to make Goa 'swayampurna' (self-sufficient) and exhorted Comunidades, educational institutions and associations to co-operate with the panchayats to make the village ‘Swayampurna’.
Officials of various departments are reaching out in Goa's remote areas to ensure people avail schemes and services besides providing grievance resolution mechanisms, he added.
The State administration has 63 departments, each of which has welfare schemes and facilities for citizens which many are unaware of, Sawant said, adding that the ‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’ is an outreach to create awareness of schemes and make delivery efficient, Sawant added.
