The Margao Urban Health Centre has pointed out that an inspection of the Comba subway has revealed that water has stagnated at the site which has become a potential breeding source for mosquitoes.
The inspection, however, could not identify the source of the water seepage inside the subway.
In this connection, the Health Officer has written to the Deputy Collector, Margao with a plea to depute a technical expert team of the concerned department to ascertain the source of the water flowing into the subway.
The health officer’s action has come following a complaint filed by GOACAN that water logging has taken place inside the Comba subway.
