A youth from Rajasthan was killed, while three others were injured when two motorcycles collided with each other at Tivim on Saturday night.
According to reports, the incident took place near the Lakshminarayan temple around 8 pm when Dalveer Singh (19) of Rajasthan was on a Bullet motorcycle, along with Balram Singh (34) and Manoj Singh (24) from Madhya Pradesh, as they were travelling from Mapusa to Assonora.
The motorcycle rider lost control and the motorcycle skidded before colliding with an oncoming KTM motorcycle.
Dalveer was seriously injured, while the two other riders on the Bullet motorcycle and the rider of the KTM motorcycle sustained minor injuries in the mishap. Locals rushed to the sport and the injured riders were shifted to the Mapusa District Hospital, where Dalveer was declared dead.
Police Inspector Vijay Rane and Constable Anil Shetye conducted the panchanama.
