Mobile phones, camera burgled from Dabolim flat

VASCO
Four mobile phones and a camera all worth Rs 1 lakh were burgled from a flat at Alto Dabolim on Saturday afternoon.

The burglary was caught on the CCTV and the accused was seen climbing the stairs and entering the flat to commit the crime. According to the information, the flat was rented and occupied by people working at Dabolim airport.

"We are a group of four persons living at the apartment and working in shifts at Dabolim airport. We usually keep the door ajar so that the other roommates can come and sleep in the room without having to knock at the door or ring the bell and disturb others,” said one resident.

“On Friday night, we had kept the door ajar for our other roommates. We have seen the CCTV footage and we can see someone climb the stairs at around 7 am and open the flat to see the other three persons asleep.”

“After waiting for some time, the burglar entered the flat and stole the items, which include a DSLR camera and four mobile phones worth about Rs 1 lakh.”

Vasco police are carrying out further investigation of the incident under the supervision of PI Kapil Nayak and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
