Mapusa Police arrested two persons on charges of assaulting a father-son duo at Mapusa KTC bus stand on Friday evening.
The accused, Sameer Pednekar and Suresh Khumbar, both from Khorlim, Mapusa, have been arrested.
The incident happened at around 4 pm at Mapusa KTC bus-stand.
According to police, Bhrijesh Shirodkar and his father Chandrakant Shirodkar from Candolim had come to drop some tourists in their car at the bus-stand.
As the father-son were negotiating the car at the bus-stand, the accused suddenly came in the way with their bike, which resulted in a minor accident.
The accused got into an altercation with the father-son duo and in the melee, the accused Sameer Pednekar allegedly knifed the son, Brijesh, on the face and chest while the father was hit on his back.
Police swung into action and immediately arrested the two accused.
Further investigations are currently on.
