Two more Covid-related deaths were recorded in the state’s mortality bulletin on Wednesday pushing the total Covid victim count of Goa to 737.
The deceased persons include a 72-year-old man from Ponda and an 85-year-old man from Canacona, both of whom expired at Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim.
Additionally, 97 new cases of the infection were detected from among the 1,961 samples tested by the Health Department in the last 24 hours. With this, the total confirmed Covid-19 cases in Goa have risen to 50,981 of which 971 are presently active while 49,313 have recovered. The recovery rate is presently at 96.72 per cent.
