Covid has raised its ugly head in the office of Salcete Mamlatdar, with two staffers testing positive for coronavirus and two showing Covid symptoms.
Taking no chances, the Salcete Mamlatdar has directed the staff of the court of Jt Mamlatdar, Salcete, irrespective whether they are permanent staff, contract staff, DEOs and requisitioned staff to get themselves tested for Covid.
The Mamlatdar further directed the staff of all the Joint Mamlatdars, Salcete, whether permanent staff, contract staff, DEOs and requisitioned staff who had come in contact with the staff that have been tested positive and deemed as primary contacts to get themselves tested and not to attend the office until the test reports are come and remain in isolation at home till that time.
A number of Covid cases had come to light in the South Goa district Collectorate over the last fortnight and the detection of cases in the office of the Salcete Mamlatdar office has indicated the spread of the cases in the Collectorate.
